Welcome to the John M. Oldham, M.D. website.
It is an honor to have been elected by the membership, pending ratification by the Board of Trustees, to become President-Elect of the American Psychiatric Association, and I would like to thank all who have chosen to support my candidacy in this election. I will welcome suggestions, ideas, and input from all APA members, to help me do the job to the best of my abilities.
I am currently Senior Vice President and Chief of Staff at The Menninger Clinic in Houston, Texas, and Executive Vice Chair and Professor of Psychiatry at Baylor College of Medicine. A personal statement summarizing the highlights of my career is posted on this site, along with my APA position statement, an abbreviated CV, a complete CV, selected writings, and links to other projects and programs I have participated in.
Again, please accept my gratitude for inviting me to serve as one of the leaders of the American Psychiatric Association.
